CDIU Background

Cities Development Initiatives Uganda was formed by Highly Technical Development practioners with diverse experience and academics background from Makerere University, Uganda Martyrs University, Kyambogo University and Uganda management Institute as an indigenous national Non-Governmental organization focused in evidence programming based on the Thematic areas of Heritage and cultural promotion and conservation, food security and Livelihood., Education, Health, Child protection.

CDIU was established with an overall aim of operating as a core supplementary contributor towards contemporary regional, national and international, social-economic growth, transformation and development in Thematic areas  of Heritage and Cultural Conservation, Climate change, Gender based violence, Road Safety Initiatives, Human Rights, HIV/AIDS, Child Protection, urban  Development, , Youth and Women  Empowerment,  Governance and  policy analysis, Maternal child Health, Food security and smart agriculture  as implementation of programs and activities related to community participation among youth and the community, Science and Technology, planning, Environment management, monitoring and evaluation with sound support to development in urban and peri-urban communities .

It’s a dully-recognized entity incorporated by the registrar of companies as No. 80020000572470 limited by Guarantee and INDR153694346NB/INDP0004346NB as an indigenous fully registered NGO with National NGO Board to operate nationally in Uganda.
